Manuel Mathieu is a Haitian-born (1986) multidisciplinary artist based in Montréal whose paintings, installations and ceramics interrogate themes of historical violence, spiritual legacy and personal trauma. His work uses an abstract/figurative visual language to explore Haiti's past and his own survival.
